about

The Minnesota starvation experiment. Non-volant conscientious objectors to war, wanted to support their country by submitting themselves to a starvation regimen for scientists on how to treat the troops. This song is about being in the car on tour, longing to be home. A physical sacrifice for a higher ideal....it all made me think of that feeling. -Paul

lyrics

Headphones on
With tribes and neurosis on
Times of grace on
I can't seem to turn my brain off

Turn in for the night
But still nothing feels right
Wrung out like a towel
With no room left to fight

Carry burden of
Dozens of little toes gone
Planted firmly on
A seat so far from where I long

See the loooonely neon street lights
Waving off and on good bye
The pavement is hungrier tonight
Serve me up on a plate of moon light

about

Cicero Portland, Oregon

Cicero is a 90's emo throw back band fed from bands such as Sunny Day Real Estate, Mineral, Dear Ephesus, and “Clarity” era Jimmy Eat World.

They had a a run from 2006-2008 but have re-formed and are back as a 3 piece with punchy and emotionally intense lyrics and passionate performances. Though there have been several line changes they are back and better than ever.
